Developed a golf blogging site with a map feature that allows users to click golf course icons and access the corresponding blog posts. Wrote a custom plugin that updates course status once the corresponding post is published. Wrote another plugin to initialize course reviews and another to set the featured image from the first image embedded in the content field. Customized the Twenty Seventeen theme.
Optimized page speed, decreasing Fully Loaded Time 300% to under 3s.
