Make it more interactive
Remember the AAA map with a grid overlay with names like F6 and G12? Well, the PDX Grid Project photographs the city, one grid at a time, several photographers at once. They had a static site but wanted something interactive, that would make it easier for the user to find and view their images of Portland. Want a photograph of a cat? How about fences? What about roadkill? The new site makes all of this possible. Over 6,000 images can be searched for keywords, photographer, date, location, and grid. There is a duplicate of the AAA map, with the grid overly, that lets the user click on a grid and find the corresponding images. Roving curators create galleries each month. Responsible for all backend development including a migration module which migrated 6,000 images into Drupal, a custom image input screen module, and image date lookup module.
